Since I'm following a heart healthy diet and not using oil of any kind, I was struggling with how to make my veggies tasty. This organic soup is additives, or oil and will now be my staple in cooking soups and veggies. Thank you for this great product.

This has become my “go to” veggie broth so I order it in bulk. It is great for any occasion from sipping it warm, nothing added, to complicated dishes calling for broth, especially if I’m in a hurry or run out of homemade in the freezer. I’m vegan, 98% sugar and oil free, so I appreciate this brand’s attention to great ingredients, all plant-based, as well as their nourishing people in need community work. Some would consider this low sodium (120 mg/cup) and add salt if they have conventional tastes. Otherwise, it’s always a reliable organic product.

Could no longer find it at ANY of my supermarkets, so I purchased them online. A great buy & Great flavor! Cooked it with some barley, dehydrated portobello mushrooms, then added a little sour cream & some cornstarch (for thickener)…it was sooo good, we ate the whole pot. Yum!

Ordered Hello Fresh to relearn HOW to cook and gain variety for my aging palette. This is my secret for awesome stir fry dishes. I do not use for soups and have not tried small cups of broth dishes, but rather squirt it like ketchup into pan frying veggies (1-2 TBS likely) to add flavor . Mix in 1 oz of balsamic vinegar and a heaping TBS of Apricot preserves with this item into veggie mix ( red & green bell peppers / sugar snaps / purple onion/ garlic / ginger root / various small tomato medley etc & it makes a perfect sweet/ spicy glaze - then serve over Jasmine rice -- YUM

Super convenient container and ease of use ..... NUFF SAID

I've been buying the Kitchen Accomplice broths for over a year now. They have a rich flavor, are easy to use, and easy to store in the fridge. The suggested ratio is two tablespoons of concentrate to one cup of water or stock. I use less, usually one to one and half tablespoons for every cup of stock. That's because while this variety is reduced sodium, it's still quite high at 480 mg per tablespoon. Using less that the suggested two tablespoons of concentrate, I find that my end product is still full-bodied and flavorful because I add it to my own homemade stocks rather than just water. But I also use this concentrate for adding flavor to long-cooking rice. Again, I use one tablespoon of concentrate to one cup of water for cooking rice. It gives just enough flavor to the rice without adding too much sodium. What I like most about this brand is that it has more flavor than just salt. I've tried concentrates and bouillon cubes that smell more like chicken and beef than they end up tasting. Instead of flavor, they just seem to add salt. The Kitchen Accomplice varieties add rich flavor you can actually taste in your end product.

The end-cap only dispenses the concentrate when you squeeze the bottle. In other words, you can hold it upside down and nothing will come out until you squeeze. This lets you easily control how much comes out at a time which makes for precise measuring and no waste. There's also no waste when you get near the end of the bottle because you can simply twist off the cap and add your liquids to the remaining concentrate. This Kitchen Ccomplice Reduced Sodium Beef stock is a great price on Amazon as an add-on item. These concentrates retail for $5.99 in my grocery store although I try to wait and buy them when they are on sale or buy-one-get-one-free.

This is how I make my own stock: I brown chicken or beef bones in the oven then put them in my crock pot overnight on low. (If you buy a cooked rotisserie chicken, don't hesitate to save those bones for stock too.) I add water just to cover the bones. If you have wilted veggies like onions, celery, tomatoes, and mushrooms, toss them in as well, skins and all. When I see my veggies wilting, I'll even put them in a zip-loc bag and freeze them until I'm ready to make stock. You can add a bay leaf and whatever fresh or dried herbs you like. The next morning, I pour everything from the crock pot through a fine strainer and now I have a really good stock base that has no salt added. When I make a lot, I'll portion that out into containers or even zip-loc bags and put the stock in the freezer for the next time I make soup. When I'm using this homemade stock, I only add about one to one and half tablespoons of the Kitchen Accomplice concentrate for every cup of stock. Adding the Kitchen Accomplice broth concentrate to homemade stock like this is infinitely tastier than simply adding it to water and definitely lets you use less of the concentrate.

I love, love, love this cheat for cooking...I don't make Beef Tips & Rice without it anymore. I used to buy it at my local supermarket...they quit carrying it so I'm thrilled I can still buy it through Amazon. It's easy to use and store; and it tastes SOOOO much better than canned stock or cubes or granules! On first glance it may look pricey compared to cubes, granules or boxed broth; but if you do the math you'll find that it works out to be less expensive. One bottle makes the equivalent of seven boxes of broth--and it's got a long, long shelf life just in case you're not using much of it. Give it a try!

If you are a Whole Food Plant Based person then this is excellent stock for you because there is no added salts, fats/oils. The grocery stores are frequently out of stock or carry other brands that contain oil. This is why I'm just ordering this through Amazon autoship plan. This stock is a dark amber and very flavorful. I usually cut it 50/50 with water and still get fabulous taste. I also use it when sauteing or browning to prevent sticking.

I'm too busy to make homemade stock regularly right now, so this product has been a great substitute as a component in my homemade soups. I'm watching my sodium intake, so roasting fresh vegetables to add to this stock plus some onions, garlic and other herbs that have been started in a little butter has been an easy way to pull together various soup recipes with much less salt per serving than typical canned soup.

Instead of simmering the bones from a roasted chicken for hours, I can open this handy container and make a little or a lot of soup even after work with little fuss. It also makes a tasty rice if substituted for some of the cooking water.

This is now a pantry staple. Forget cooking with the watered down flavor of BROTH. You want the robust flavor of a good stock whether chicken, beef or vegetable. If you get the low sodium or no sodium varieties, you can make tastier foods for people with restricted diets due to high blood pressure.

These are great for small batch rice, quinoa, bulgur, and slow cooker stews or braises. We used to get these at the local grocery stores, but they have dropped these, and carry only the large size now. I was concerned about how they would fare during shipping, but they arrived in perfect shape. They come 12 in a very sturdy, small 'case', and had no damage at all. Also, the ones we got have an expiration date which is 8 1/2 months from when they arrived. Very pleased with that. BTW, "Kitchen Basics" have less salt than the heavily promoted brand, and have great flavor. Yum.

I love making soup and buying this broth is bulk is a better value and then I always have some on hand when the soup urge strikes me. I have tried to use other broths and even cheaper options like Better Than Bouillon and the flavor wasn't the same. I like the mild flavor of the Swanson vegetable broth, I don't have to add that much extra salt or pepper to my soups because the broth has a lot of seasoning. These containers of broth are typically good for 1 year after you receive them, so if you make just one soup a month you will be able to use all this broth before it expires.

I have been using Swanson Vegetable Broth for quite some time and am very pleased with this product. It adds much flavor to many of the dishes my husband and I enjoy and I find that it is also a plus with the ingredients for our preferred eating habits. I will continue to use it and recommend it to my family and friends. We live in a small rural town in the mountains of Oklahoma and I find it very convenient to order it, as it is 43 miles to the closest source to buy it at the store. Thank you Amazon for your variety of products.

Just recently converted to vegan-ism, I find this indispensable in my new cooking repertoire. It has replace olive oil in my sautéing and has become my go-to ingredient in almost all of my vegetable dishes now. I figured a pack of 12 would last forever, but I'm already ordering more. The only thing is that 2 boxes were damaged during shipping and were leaking a little.

We learned of this product through our meal kit subscription and are so glad it is available to buy separately on Amazon. It allows us to reproduce the recipes we’ve learned through our kits using the same products. Really handy for recipes, especially for finishing sauces that need flavor but not a lot of liquid. Very convenient and much easier to store than big boxes of stock. We bought the vegetable and the chicken versions. We have also had the beef in our meal kirts snd it is tasty, as well. All good!

I really liked this broth concentrate. It was given to me at Scripps Memorial Hospital in San Diego last week after surgery and I fell in love with it! Superb flavor! The only thing I don't like about this is the's too expensive!

I loved the broth packets that came with my HelloFresh subscription, so I purchased these hoping they would be the same. They are! Delicious flavor, in easy-to-use packets. I like that these are easier to store than cartons of broth, and easier to stir in to your recipe than broth cubes (no need to worry about dissolving them). They have an excellent flavor as well.

I am German living in US and I am soooo glad that I finally get what I used to miss in my kitchen here!!! No need to bring back loads of ingredients from my annual trips to Germany. This soup is not just a a great snack also an awesome ingredient for homemade soups, gravy or stews.

I am in love with this broth! The flavor is rich and deep, and a little powder goes a long way. I use it in the water to boil vegetables, and it infused them with a flavor that’s just sublime. It is wonderful for making a quick comforting soup (heat up half a spoonful in hot water and throw in some rice, noodles, etc), would work well for homemade ramen, and I’ve used it sprinkled on vegetables prior to roasting. All were delightful and I had no GI issues with this product at all (I have Crohn’s and eat gluten/dairy/meat free).
If I had to describe the flavor, I would say it’s almost like I remember Lipton’s ‘cup o soup’ tasting in my childhood, only tastier and with better ingredients. I’ll be buying more!

I just got this before lunch. It's about 6PM now and I've already made TWO meals JUST to have an excuse to use this. It's so good I'm already anxious about running out of it. You get a small canister (still, about twice the size of Mrs Dash...)--and it's not cheap. But the taste is ... addicting. I've tried about three dozen salt-free or MSG-free-but-with-salt flavor enhancers. Other than two versions of Mrs Dash, I've never been impressed. This, however, will remain a staple in our kitchen since we don't otherwise cook with salt. A frighteningly good concoction.

I ordered the ham, chicken and beef and OMFG... total game-changer in my whole vegan existence.

I'm cooking up a pot of split pea in the vegan ham broth as I type this. The whole house smells amazing and smells like I've been slow cooking split pea with a ham hock.

I decided to become vegan because I was a hypocrite. I can't be mad at some cultures for slaughtering certain animals when I was eating, pigs, chickens and cows. I loved meat but it was a small sacrifice to pay to give it up. And thanks to or Orrington Farms I don't have to sacrifice flavor in my vegan diet!

Frank V

If you are newly vegetarian/vegan like me (ok, I'm maybe not 100%), and you like using chicken broth either for a simple soup or in recipes, this Orrington Farms broth base is a good choice. To start, it smells and looks like chicken broth. But more importantly, it tastes like chicken. Sure, maybe not the deep poultry umami you get from real chicken stock or demi-glace, but it's still a nice rich flavor.

One really good thing is that unlike some other vegan bouillon, it's not just pure salt. In fact, when I use it to make sauces, I need to add some salt to really bring out the flavor, which is a good thing as it allows me to control the amount of sodium and the intensity of the flavor. Sometimes, though, I just want a nice soothing cup of broth and this does the trick for that as well.

I've tried Better than Bouillon and wasn't really that impressed, plus wet stocks don't keep as well so I'm out. Orrington Farms powdered base reminds me of cup a soup. It has a nice clean tasting flavor profile, bright color, stores easily at room temperature and dissolves well in liquids or even as a light seasoning over a dish. Taste a bit like a chicken stock versus veggie. No reason to use anything else, definitely a favorite in this house.

I first encountered this broth in the hospital. We happen to have a fantastic hospital nearby and thankfully they have some outstanding in-patient food. I had to be on a liquid diet for 2 days, and this broth made missing out on solid foods more than acceptable. I asked the hospital what kind it was and went on the hunt in person to procure my own. Couldn’t find the Herb-ox vegetable broth in stores around me, so I found it on Amazon and am SO HAPPY! I use it as a broth drink, season green beans, and liven up otherwise dull dinners.

I became quickly addicted to this while in the hospital. No one has it locally and before I succumbed to crime (stealing from the hospital) I decided to check Amazon. Sure enough, here it is. I have gastroparesis and sometimes broth is the only thing I can ingest. Great product although a little expensive. But I'm addicted now....what else can I do????

Amazon Customer

I was recently in the hospital for surgery, so had to fast the day prior. Needless to say, once I was out and was able to eat, I was famished. They brought me vegetable broth and Jell-O. Ugh! However, I tased the broth and promptly asked for more, and also asked what it was because I was going to find it and buy some for myself. I did consider that it may have tasted so good because, as I said, I was starving. I received this when I returned home, tried it out at home, and it was just as good as in the hospital. I am still pretty surprised that vegetable broth can taste this good. I have not tried it yet, but I would definitely think that using this for a soup would be delicious as well.

I love these little bottles of organic veggie broth. I wish they had a low or no salt version, but when I use this I don't add any additional salt. I use this in mashed potatoes, making gravy, stews, etc...

I usually use bouillon cubes but the packaging on this veg stock is super useful: smaller cartons means no waste. Great flavor, easy to use/store. Will buy again

Perfect size for single cooking instead of the 32oz going to waste from not using all of it within a week
