My review has nothing to do with the product as we have used this sunscreen for years and love it. My problem is the fact that the 3 pack that I ordered expires in just 7 months. We do not go through a ton of sunscreen and have some left from last year that is actually dated the same as this stuff. I just wanted to make sure we had enough to get through the summer and saw it was a good price but now that it will expire most likely before we even use it all, it isn’t much of a value.

This sunblock works perfectly. I have a child who is a shade darker than Casper and this has kept her burn free all summer. It isn't too greasy when it goes on and soaks in pretty fast.

I ordered this because as a person of Scottish descent, it doesn't take much at all for me to burn up in the sun. I was really pleased with how well this works. Unlike other sunscreens, this is not sticky at all! It also doesn't seem to have a smell to it, which for me is a plus. The sprayer provides great coverage, and it kept me completely protected from burning. Highly recommend.

I am a very young (58) Stroke survivor, bought this for myself. it worked great for me. At least for the 2 hours I was at the pool at my apartment complex. Just between you and me, It's really a "Retirement" community. All I know is I became a "Bronze God", as the 5 octonagarian ladies that compromise the "Garden Society" have been rumored to say.

This is a great sunscreen for your body and has a really high SPF so you can trust that you're being protected from the Sun especially since it's a broad spectrum sunscreen however I don't recommend using it on your face. was out in the sun two days in a row and I started to get worried I would burn so I made sure to apply sunscreen at the beginning of each day. At the end of the second day I have a small breakout happening on my face. Picture included. But my body and my face have both been protected from the sunburn I surely would have gotten without it

I bought it for a 2 week vacation in Thailand for my son and it was more than enough. Not a single burn, worked great, even in water. The only complaint is the heavy texture- it is thick and not very easy to spread. Tried Biore brand (kids version)and it broke him out, so immediately turned back to this.

So I took my 1 and 5 yr old to the beach and we were directly under the sun for about 4 hours no sunburn I applied twice since it says to apply every 2 hours, so funny story When squeezing out the sunscreen some flew onto my arm I rubbed it on and when I tell y’all I got sunburn really bad except where the sunscreen landed it’s crazy I’m definitely purchasing this again

Amazing for sun protection and sensitive skin! These two ingredients have been studied extensively and are the good ones!! I did alot of research. I took my daughter who is 2 1/2 to Myrtle Beach, SC last week and used this. I just got it in the mail shortly before, and it works trust me!!! 3 days in the sun, around 80 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. She has sensitive skin and breaks out to other kinds, which I can't mention, but not this one! It is a thick white paste so it's not easy to spread, or not easier than others I should say. Takes a little longer to apply but don't let that be the deterrent! Its worth it! and if you have more than 2 kids, then definitely get more than 1 bottle. I was worried she got too much sun because the sun was HOT THOSE DAYS, but all she had was some tan lines and very slight redness under her eyes. But she had alot of sun. Recommended applying atleast 10 mins before you go out and if on the beach, apply again. Can't be too careful.

Not a child, but solo kayak up to 25 miles offshore. You know what isn't good in a kayak 25 miles offshore? The burning and blindness from sweat causing sunscreen residue to go into your eyes. This stuff spreads like chalk, so I use about 50/50 with a moisturizing lotion that also doesn't burn my eyes and then it spreads on fine. Bottom line is I have to use a sunscreen and there aren't many choices that don't put me in a situation where I need to use fresh water to clean off my eyeballs. Anything I put on my forehead eventually gets sweated down into my tear ducts. This stuff isn't easy to spread at all, but it does offer the protection it advertises and it's literally a life saver if your in any situation where being temporarily blinded isn't okay.

It was 111° this week in Arizona and we like to spend 2-3 hours in the pool a day to cool off. This is the ONLY spray that works for us. I mean, it WORKS. In fact, it works so well that I had to start using a lower spf to even catch any color! Lol and I am PALE white. My son is so pale, you can see his veins through his skin! And this stuff completely protects him 100%. We tried Coppertone Sport- same spf, because we ran out of this Kids spray today and we are all in horrible pain with sunburns! It does not hold up to swimming as well as this does. We will never run out of this again. It's an absolute must in Arizona for pale people. And the product here by this seller is authentic! Don't hesitate, purchase it. And reapply every 80 minutes while swimming. You will NOT get a burn.

Kaitlyn

I’ve been buying natural sunscreen for awhile but sometimes you can’t go wrong with the classics. This stuff always does an excellent job at protecting my kids from sunburn and is so easy to spray on since the application is smooth

Dani Pirok

My son has very sensitive skin and has problems with most sunscreens but this one seems to work perfectly! It also is made to be an easy-to-use spray can that makes sure that every area is covered even thoroughly. I recommend this product for parents & kids alike!

When it comes to sunblocks, Banana Boat is a brand that I can trust and rely on as the best protection against sun for my children. I've used them ever since my children were babies and they never had any problem with it.

One time, I bought a cheap, genetic brand instead to save money and learned the lesson the hard way because it was runny and stung my children's eyes really badly that they were crying in pain. Ever since then, I never even looked at any other brand and I just go straight to the Banana Boat.

They are a bit pricey compared to other brands but you get what you pay for and I don't want to compromise my children's safety and comfort for couple of dollars in savings.

I now buy them during the winter and off-season when the prices come down since I know I will need them in the summer. So stock them up before the summer if you know you will be spending time at the pool or beach in the upcoming summer! Hope this was useful... and if it was, please click on the helpful button below. Thank you!

This is some of the best sunscreen I have ever tried/used. I have tried them all, I am a sunscreen fanatic. I have tried the most expensive to the least. I know what to look for. Mineral sunscreen wise this is my favorite and best one I have tried. I am an adult and I use it daily. The smell is amazing! The foam application is so easy. It is spreadable and doesn’t do the piling like other sunscreens. My all time favorite sunscreen is the Zo Skin Health sunscreens. But they are so expensive. I use their Broad Spectrum one and it’s mineral just like this one. The difference? It’s far more expensive than the Banana Boat Mineral Foam and it’s super white, and not as spreadable. I have heard the more white in the mineral sunscreens the more protection. Regardless this Banana Boat Mineral Foam is the best mineral sunscreen available in my opinion. This is the only sunscreen I have ever tried that has NO SUNSCREEN SMELL! I love that. Hands down the best mineral sunscreen you’ll find at a drugstore. I discovered it at CVS, but I repurchased it on Amazon because the pricing was a lot better on Amazon compared to the drug stores in my area. Thank you Banana Boat! This stuff is awesome! If anything make the blue one smell more blue raspberry like. Gosh these smell so good I love the Green Apple one.

I have blonde hair and very pale skin. I never go out in the sun, so you can imagine my concern upon learning that we were taking a cruise to Aruba, Bonaire, and Grand Turk. I am ghost white, but I really wanted to enjoy some time in the sun and the water. I chose this suntan spray because of the SPF and the lack of strong scent.
While I still burned a little, it was far LESS than I ever expected, especially since I went snorkeling two days in a row. I would HIGHLY recommend this for anyone who has very fair skin and does not want to get severely burned. Just make sure to reapply every 60-80 minutes if you are in the water. Also, it does rub off, so reapply if you dry off / wipe down with a towel.

You can’t go wrong with 100 SPF!!! I had family members who kept borrowing it at the beach because it’s real good 🙄
It’s little sticky but easy to apply and yes provided 100% sun protection! I usually get red like a lobster when we go to the beach and had serious burns before cuz i was buying cheap sunscreen! That one is little pricy but worth it for a pain free, relaxing vacation 🤗

Do the research! Many big name suncreens on the market are toxic for you! I used the Thinkbaby sunscreen on myself when I was pregnant when we went to Playa del Carmen for our babymoon. We went to this natural water park called Xcaret that has these underground rivers and they were very strict about which sunscreens you brought in b/c they wanted to protect the natural wildlife and habitats in the water. They have security at the entrance checking your bags for these chemical sunscreens and force you to throw them away and provide you with mineral sunscreen. I showed them my Thinkbaby and it was on the approved list. 🙂

Think about it, if the sunscreen isn't safe enough for fish, you probably shouldn't be rubbing it into you or your baby's skin.

I'm medically so sun sensitive (and sensitive to UV light from fluorescent and halogen bulbs) that I can tell you this gives the BEST PROTECTION ACROSS the UV SPECTRUM. [To give you perspective on how much credibility to give to my positive evaluation of this product's effectiveness: Even with shades down and curtains & draperies drawn, I burn and blister on my face from the indirect sunlight that still comes in, if I don't have sunscreen on my face, neck & hands while indoors. As for my body, I will also burn if I don't have on sunscreen or sun protective clothing.] Not everyone will need such complete protection as I do, but even using a modest approach to sun protection, you can rest assured that this is an EXCELLENT PRODUCT. I use it on my face and set it with loose face powder, makeup for ever. This also adds skin color (! LOL) as it does look completely white. MOST PEOPLE will simply want to use this for their arms and legs; if it works so thoroughly to block sunlight when extreme UV light blocking is needed, then it's CASUAL USE has got to be exactly what you want. 👍 Applies quickly with excellent "SPREAD." Great for SENSITIVE SKIN!

Nathaniel and Alena

I can't speak for intense sun protection because I'm just using it while out for normal walks, but to address one of the concerns I was seeing, it doesn't take too much to rub it in and it only shows if you absolutely know it's there. Left hand has it in this pic - you can see it's the slightest bit lighter but you'd never pick it up without looking closely. When I put it on my face, I felt a little lighter, but my husband couldn't tell the difference at all. And I don't use makeup.

Love the smell. It's very, very light, just a hint. I'm pretty smell sensitive and get headaches from chemical or strong smells and this was fine, but mileage may vary since smell sensitivities are so random between different people.

This is great sunscreen for kids or yourself. I checked several brands that are clean of too many nasty chemicals that are bad for my child and the environment. I’m not a tree hugger but I don’t particularly want to kill off all the marine life either. Anyway the issue with most of these sunscreens in my experience is that they’re cakey and white and hard to spread. It sucks to buy a spray bottle and have it spray a thick stream of white like the bottled kind. If I wanted that I’d have bought the bottled kind. This sunscreen strikes a happy medium between the two and is the best clean sunscreen I’ve found that isn’t streaky or cakey and white. It DOES take a swipe or two to rub it in fully but not endless passes like most of them on the market. More importantly it does a great job on my 2 year old even if I spray her and let her go splash in the sprinkler a couple minutes later. It doesn’t leave her or me looking like Casper the Friendly Ghost- once it’s quickly rubbed in it is clear on the skin like a clear spray sunscreen. I bought 3 and am buying 3 more this month.

ROBERT

I don't have any children in the house...
But I swim a lot and I found this is the only sunscreen you can put on that when you sweat or swim will not burn your eyes...
Again, this sunscreen does not burn your eyes when it gets wet.

jb in colorado

it works great. i was out in the searing sun all afternoon and my skin isn't even slightly pink. it's not difficult to spread. the one issue is that it gives you a grayish appearance, it's not pretty. but that means you can see that is't there and that it's working. the one coat i put on this morning lasted all day - i could clearly see it was still on my arms and at the end of the day, no burning at all.

5/11 - upgrading to 5 stars, this really works well, stays on all day, and yes, it makes your skin white, but that's to be expected with a mineral based sunscreen.

Read about this product on EWG and heard about it from a few friends so I purchased some. Amazon had it for a great price and I like that it’s 50+ and is the “sport” variety (as opposed to thinkbaby) which can be used despite sweating, swimming, etc. my kids are very active and, like most kids, hate putting on sunscreen so I want something that’s effective, stays on for a while, keeps up with them, and most importantly keeps them safe from the sun and from chemicals in sunscreen. This checks all of my boxes.

Pro parent tip: when we do sunscreen on our kids we tell them we’re going to make them look like a ghost, t-Rex, lion, cheetah, basically anything they like. They love to look scary so we tell them to go scare the other parent and the only way for the other parent to stop being scared is to rub the sunscreen in. This has been working for a few months now so I’ll take it. If it helps you, great!

Jen

Realistically, physical-barrier sunscreens are never going to rub in as well as the chemical-barrier ones - but if you have decided you want to use a physical barrier one this is your best bet. Most of them are pretty expensive but I can usually find Thinksport at a good price, and it smells good and works well.
By the way, Thinksport regular, kids, and baby are all the same product, except regular has a different scent (which I don't love).

Spent a week on the beach and didn’t burn. Couldn’t ask for more. It has a bit of a white tint, but applying it in sections and rubbing it in well makes it hardly noticeable. (This is an issue for my Teen. I don’t care. I just want to play in the water and not get burned!) Didn’t dry out or irritate our sensitive skin, didn’t make my younger son’s eyes water (most sunscreens, chemical or mineral, do), and was also very waterproof without that nasty second-skin feeling you get from some waterproof sunscreens. A 6 oz. tube, with multiple daily applications, lasted the three of us for the week.

Followed the application and reapplication directions, and this happened both times. His arms and legs look just like his neck. I also tried this on myself as an extra test, and same results, my shoulders are bright pink. We weren’t at the beach or anything like that, this is just normal wear at home, in a shaded neighborhood.

Shell

I use this in combo with coppertone defend and care with zinc sunscreen cream. It works awesome and prevents burns. I apply the cream first and use this for double duty on the spots that tend to burn fast. I used on my kids too and it keeps them from burning as well. It’s especially handy to spray on on your hand and pat into the hairline to keep the scalp from being burned and doesn’t leave the white residue cream does in the hair.

This has always been my go to sunscreen for my daughter. It protects her well and smells great
