I've tried several brands of Stevia, but this is the one my wife and I prefer. I don't know if all or any of the storied evils of artificial sweeteners are true or just scary rumors. With Stevia, a natural product, we don't have to worry about that. There is a bulking agent (dextrose or maltodextrin), but the sweetening agent is from the leaf of the stevia plant. Stevia in the Raw does not have the bitterness of pure stevia that some find off-putting. We like the handy single serve paper pouches because they are easier to use than bulk. Some other stevia products we have tried use plastic or metalized paper for their pouches, but these thin paper ones have less environmental impact.

I've always liked Stevia since my Doctor recommended it years ago and it did in fact help me lose weight when I was constantly buying Coffee Light and Sweet! Stevia In The Raw is an excellent brand! I unfortunately couldn't find the Stevia I usually purchase and it ended up working out in my favor because I got a great deal on this. The Box has a convenient perforated opening that slides closed. I definitely recommend it!

I use stevia regularly. The best I've found is Stevia in the Raw. I can buy them in 80 packet boxes for a little more than half what this carton costs. This is a good bargain for a product that does everything advertised. I packet is equal to two teaspoons of sugar. There's no after taste like you get in some artificial sweeteners. I use it in salad dressings too, with no loss of taste. Try it. You'll like it.

It had to be trown away. Extremely bitter, I am an old time user of stevia, at least 5 years, I’ve never tested stevia like this before. I won’t buy this brand again.

Update 7/25/18: A day after my review I was contacted by Rebecca from Micro Ingredients. She offered a refund or another bag to try in exchange for a better review. I told her to send me a new bag to try and I would adjust my review accordantly, she did it and I received a much better stevia (same product/bag/appearance) compared to my original purchase. No noticeable bitterness, at least not out of the ordinary for those like used to stevia. It seems I originally received a bad batch or something. In Any case, is nice to see they are behind their product and I feel more comfortable ordering again knowing that if I get unlucky, I can get support from them. I have adjusted my review to 5 starts, thanks Rebecca.

PS: After my bad experience with Micro Ingredients and before I was offered a new try or refund, I ordered one of those liquid stevia from another brand, it was good but they do not last, powder seems to be the best bang for my money.

I noticed that quite a few reviewers found this to be bitter tasting, and at first I thought so as well. BUT, because it’s pure stevia powder, with no added ingredients to “bulk” it up, I tried putting a smaller amount in my tea, and it was perfect. I like my tea pretty sweet, but I use just under a scoop (the one provided in the package), and it’s plenty sweet. For some people, you might only need a half scoop or less. I bought this a year ago, and I’m just now close to needing to reorder, so it’s very economical compared to individual packets. Plus, I like that I’m not wasting half-packets as I can control the amount I want.

Okay guys... It's 4 in the morning... As I find myself making my thousandth thermos of lemonade, 2 months later, it literally just occurred to me that this product is a no-brainer. Guys, take it from someone who has purchased the 40 dollar, 4 oz bag from Trim Healthy Mama (THM)... THM is a TAD bit sweeter, but this product is no slouch... Best bang for the buck period... If you're a person that doesn't like the taste of stevia, then nothing will work... If you are already a stevia fan, then TRUST ME... This may be the last bag you'll need for the year!!!

This has been my favorite Stevia for a long time now. I also like the sugar version. It sweetens hot and cold drinks. You may have to use more or less according to your taste. I don't notice any after taste with this product. I have used other sweeteners in the past which included aspartame products that to me leave an after taste.
I will continue to buy this product when available!

This sugar substitute has become a staple in my pantry! I use it on a lot of items I would typically use granulated sugar to sweeten things. Like, coffee, tea, etc... I have never used it in a recipe - and not sure that I would. But for those fast, quick drink times - this product is terrific!

Great stevia Company.
Doesn't take long to get use to as a better substitute than sugar if you have a sweet tooth. I put this in cereal and tea and drink it in Zevia colas. No worries about diabetes. No calories. No weight gain. No guilt. My pancreas/kidneys are happy.

I purchased this to sweeten my green tea, and I didn’t read through the reviews ahead of time, which is not like me at all. So I got nervous when I came back and started reading through the reviews (whilst waiting for the product to arrive). Many people mentioned that the formula had changed and was absolutely awful now. The repeated mentioning of a strong chemical taste caused me worry that I had ordered something I would have to throw away. Then I read a review that was somewhat recent, where they stated they contacted the company and were advised that they have indeed gone back to the ever popular, ORIGINAL formula, but that they were sticking with their updated label. Well I’m happy to report that I did receive the product that is pictured in the listing, and it tastes AWESOME! It does not have a weird smell or flavor and is actually quite pleasant. I have tried plenty of alternative sweeteners and most have some degree of funkiness to them. But not this stuff! I set this to subscribe and save and will leave it there indefinitely. Hopefully the company learned their lesson about trying to fix something that isn’t broken ;0)

Sweet Drops are liquid Stevia. They give you the desired sweetness of sugar but nothing artificial -- and no carbs or calories! I have been ordering these for years and am well satisfied with the product. I use it in my coffee and well as in cooking. Today I stewed some pears and put a few drops in to sweeten them. They can be used in anything in place of sugar. The dropper gives you exactly the right amount. Highly recommend. If you feel that my review has helped you, please kindly mark that it was helpful.

I cant have sugar because of my health. I tried Lakanto Sweetener but the Erythritol in it caused me great pain and bloating. So I have changed to Stevia drops for sweetening some of my foods. It does not work for every recipe especially if you are baking because the sweetness bakes out but I do use it often and without any loss of sweetness in these types of recipes:

Berry smoothies
Cooked fruit jams (these I do not can just cook up and eat within a week)
Pasta Spaghetti sauce
Chili
Sweetening Salsa a bit (I like mine a tiny bit sweet)
Ketchup recipes
Puddings
Coleslaw Salad dressing
Other Salad dressings
Drinks
Sweetening the Filling for crepes
Fruit dip
Jello from scratch
Coconut Kefir
Plain Yogurt
Shakes
Sherbert

Tips I have learned:
1. It seems that this sweetener goes particularly well with acid type foods.
2. I never use this in a recipe I bake in the oven, the sweetness bakes out.
3. When I am cooking on the stove and sweetening something with this such as a jam, sauce or pudding I add it at the very end so it does not cook out.
5. There are some other things out there that I use that are helpful for baked goods instead of this 'liquid' stevia. One is plain monk fruit (not Lakanto brand because it has Erytritol in it and I hurt after eating it), another is Raisin Syrup, Date paste etc. I use one of these or a combination of these for other things such as : Baked beans, baked goods, sweet breads, cakes, brownies etc.
6. Everyone's taste buds are different. My son can really taste the aftertaste that stevia has so I use only two or three drops for him. My husband has almost no taste buds that function properly so I can use a quite a bit more for him and I am somewhere in the middle.
7. As you experiment you will find how many drops you enjoy in these types of foods.
8. We love the plain for most things but use the chocolate flavored stevia drops for the most phenomenal chocolate puddings, chocolate coconut milk, chocolate shakes etc. We also use the berry flavored for our jams, yogurts that we fill with the berries of our choices and for syrups and drinks. My husband adores the lemon flavored stevia drops and fresh squeezed lemon juice for his lemon-aid and I like the toffee flavor for stovetop homemade caramel sauce.

Better Stevia is the best stevia I've ever used... and I've used a lot! There are many different types of stevia. The problem is that some of them taste bad. Therefore, getting the right kind of stevia is absolutely essential. This one has absolutely no aftertaste! My mom couldn't believe it when she tasted it. She converted immediately.

I really like the Better Stevia the Original (orange label) and Glycerite (blue label) formulas. Unfortunately, I'm allergic to the alcohol in the original formula and my husband is allergic to the glycerite base. So, my husband using this product and I use the glycerite product. The glycerite base is a bit thicker than the original formula. I like to put Better Stevia in a tiny 1 oz dropper bottle to carry in my purse, mostly fill a 4 oz bottle to keep on my desk at work, and the rest in a 4 oz dropper bottle that I keep on my dining table.

My favorite ways to use Better Stevia are:
- Coffee
- Tea
- Emergen-C (a vitamin drink I have daily)
- Plain Greek Yogurt
- Flavored Sparkling Water with no sweetener (Tastes like soda without the guilt!) ZERO CALORIES and no aspartame!

Here are some of the reasons I love stevia as a sweetener:
- Weight management: Stevia rebaudiana contains little to no sugars, calories or carbohydrates.
- Cravings: The sweet taste lasts longer than sugar’s.
- Diabetes and Hypoglycemia: stevia does not create an insulin response and actually nourishes the pancreas which helps regulate blood sugar
- Cariovascular: stevia lowers blood pressure
- Fights Cavities: Stevia is antibacterial and it’s sugar-like compounds do not feed oral bacteria.
- Blood Sugar: Stevioside can improve function of the hormone insulin, helping to lower blood sugar levels.
- Cholesterol: The active compounds in stevia have led to numerous health benefits in animal studies, including reduced oxidized LDL cholesterol.
- No Adverse Effects: Overall, stevia has an outstanding safety profile and no adverse effects have been reported in the human studies.

If you think my review is interesting or helpful, please rate it as "helpful." I always enjoy writing reviews on products that I love. I make most of my daily purchases on Amazon and base my purchases on reviews from others. I know that honest and helpful reviews can make all the difference in a purchasing decision.

When I first tried this in my tea, it left a terrible aftertaste. I was going to throw it away. But at the reassurance of my mom, who has been using this product for a long time, I tried it again. It was still a little yucky, but not as bad. NOW - 3 months later - I absolutely love this product! It has no bitter aftertaste whatsoever and tastes wonderfully sweet. My favorite way to drink this is to squeeze 1/2 a lemon into hot water and add a few drops of stevia. I have this almost every night to curb sweet treat cravings and it works. No more icecream and chocolate right before bed 🙂

So I am a coffee until 3pm and sweet tea til bed kinda guy. I hate the IBS splenda gives and cancer causing ingredients of sweetenlow and equal. Being prediabetic, i need to get off the sugar but i can't stand my drinks without it. I tried the stevia packets at a restaurant and it was bleh. Someone recommended I try the liquid because it has less of an after taste. I was skeptical but tried this and I am definitely happy with it. I am using more than they say I should. 10 drops for my 16oz coffees and 20 for my 20oz sweet tea. I can't believe how close my tea is to the normal flavor. And no harsh after taste at all to me. I just bought some droppers from amazon so I can bring it when I go out to eat.

Will, the tink

I actually prefer this product more than the straight Stevia extract liquid. The blend of Stevia with alcohol-based sweetener adds no calories and actually helps some with bowel regularity (at least for me)! It's my favorite sweetener now. So much so that I've put it on standard monthly order of one 6.8oz size per month. Besides that, Amazon.com Services, Inc has the best price at only $5.44 per jar when auto-ordered! I also choose their flexible delivery time which saves me another $1 per jar! $4.44 final price per 9.8oz jar works out to just 45.3 cents per oz! Being flexible with the delivery means you just plan your order date sooner in month to compensate. It's well worth it @ 45.3 cents per oz & you get away from regular sugar. I developed type 2 diabetes starting about age 60 due my choice of foods. Too much sugar is totally bad for the body and it's in EVERYTHING! I now am fully committed to the "Keto" diet plan & stay away from most carbs & sugar. I have dropped 91 lbs and haven't felt this good in years!

IWeighProducts

I've been using this as I'm a confessed sugar addict. I was brought up on sugar, candy, ice cream, and everything they tell us that isn't healthy. I've actually been adapting and Truvia has been a great help! I use it in my Ginger Mint Tea that's straight from my local Asian market -- REFRESHING SUMMER TEA. You can't tell me I'm not having a soft drink! I still bake with Spenda but I use this for the moments of weakness when I want a soda or a soft drink.

Here's some tips if you use Truvia along with Seltzer Water, & a splash of lemon & lime you have a Sprite! If you add Hidden Valley Ranch Seasoning to Cauliflower Chips you get Cool Ranch Doritos. If you use BOCA Vegan Crumbles /w sweet bell peppers, Ortega Taco Seasoning, low fat cheese cheddar cheese, low fat sour cream & guacamole, you got a mean tortilla bowl you can even add beans if you like! You can also make yourself a nice taco.

I continue to improvise and I don't really miss much of the junk I was eating. What I'm eating now tastes really good. I can't even tell the difference! This is just one of the products that's helped me keep off the weight and I'm still losing it by the day! This Truvia stuff hits the sweet spot and give you none of the guilt! I use it sparingly but when I want something sweet this has been my main go to for such flavor. It's just very expensive though.

VJErwood

I've been buying Truvia for years, but I'm buying it from Amazon for the price. I save $2 over the price at my local grocery store, Ralphs (same as Kroger or Food4Less) This tastes so good that you can sprinkle it on foods, like grapefruit, or those strawberries that aren't quite sweet enough. It's even granulated like sugar, but without the calories and glycemic impact. I am hypoglycemic and due to multiple food allergies, I enjoy a paleo lifestyle, more on the keto side. I won't buy anything else and I carry the little packets with me when I go out, because nobody offers it! Bonus: You can repurpose the little jars as storage for small items, or look on Pinterest for craft ideas!

I don't understand any of the bad reviews. I have used regular Splenda for years and this is much better, It really tastes like sugar, no aftertaste and I'm so happy it contains Stevia and is safer nutrition-wise. The only problem I have is that I worry they might discontinue this one day as it is so excellent and I'm so happy with it.
The $25 box is a great value compared to what they're selling it for in the stores.

Dawn W

I have tried sooooo many different sugar substitutes for my coffee over the years but they all leave a bitter after taste in my mouth. I prefer packets because they are so easy to take along when going out to eat or traveling without taking up a lot of space.

Some time back, I saw Splenda Naturals Stevia Sweetener at my grocery store. I read on the box that it was zero calorie, and 100% natural, with just 2g carbs in each packet (I am type II diabetic and have to watch my carbs) so I thought, what the heck, I would give it a try.

FINALLY, a sugar substitute with NO bitter after taste! I was hooked and this has been the only substitute I buy since. I use 2 packets for each cup of coffee.

Unless they are on sale or I have coupons, a box of 80 packets costs me approximately $7 at the store, so obviously I was thrilled to see Amazon not only offered a box of 500 packets for around $20, but that it comes from Splenda! I even emailed them before purchase to make sure this was the real deal and not a knock off and got an immediate reply.

Daniel

Splenda is traditionally known for their diner table packets - pink, yellow, blue... whatever the colors are. Those are all compounds of dextrose or sucralose or other "sugar alternatives" that will give you digestive issues if taken in too high amounts and also at times are known to increase blood sugar. This is all erythritol and stevia extract. Even "Stevia In The Raw" (which has an excellent marketing sound to it) is based with dextrose. These Splenda packets are the real deal. Been using them in my coffee for a few weeks now. I'm totally happy with them. They taste awesome. Can't even really differentiate between this and real sugar.

My fiancé is diabetic so I told him to buy a sugar substitute for him that I could use to bake with.
We have bought some in stores in bags SMALLER then these for MORE MONEY!
when these came in we were BOTH IN SHOCK
How big the bag of sugar was .
These are an amzing size for the price!
As for the taste my fiancé says it does NOT have as much of a after taste like the trivia, and the sweet and low we have bought as well.
He really enjoyed the flavor and taste of this sugar, and he tried it right out of the bag lol
He also enjoyed it in the banana nut bread I made.
This is a MUST FOR THE PRICE. It is extremely light and airy , looks like snow .

This is not "artificial sweetener", it's natural, made from a plant. Stevia in the Raw is hands-down the best option for non-sugar sweetener, just 2 ingredients and best flavor I've found. It's super sweet, so a little goes a long way, and this bulk bag is SO much cheaper than canisters or (gods helps us) the ridiculous tiny packets that are single-handedly driving landfill use through the roof. Would love if they'd package in a more readily recyclable package, but that's my only gripe.

Jenny

I try to limit my sugar intake, but really like sweet coffee. I used to use Splenda, but decided to try Stevia, since it is natural. There are a lot of brands/varieties, but I really like this one the best. When I couldn't find it in the grocery store, I tried a couple others and they were awful...either too sweet or had a really bad aftertaste. I was so glad to find it on Amazon and have it on automatic reorder.

Although Whole Earth Sweetener is a great product, buyer beware who you purchase from!
The seller that mine came from was West Star Angles.
Do not buy from 3rd party sellers, make sure it’s sold by Amazon.
Item was falsely represented, ingredients are different and unacceptable compared to the ingredients I previously purchased from reputable sellers on amazon.
To add insult to injury, West Star Angels dose not allow returns on this item! Makes you wonder if they knew it was not the same formula.
*West Star Angels Whole Earth ingredients: Erythritol, FRUCTOSE, CHICORY ROOT FIBER, Stevia Leaf Extract, Monk Fruit Extract
*True Whole Earth Ingredients: Erythritol, Stevia Leaf Extract, Natural Flavors, Monk Fruit Extract
Also the expiration date was December 2019, only 6 months away.
Seriously I wonder if West Star Angels purchased a storage unit and sold the contents on Amazon.

Whole Earth Sweetener is a fantastic product!
Just be careful who you purchase from.

I tried this sweetener at Starbucks, I was hooked! I don’t care for stevia by itself but the addition of the monk fruit makes it perfect.

NJOceanView

I purchased this item on my own with no compensation for this review. Please click on Helpful at the bottom of this review if what I wrote is useful to you.

It sounds like there are two issues going on in others' reviews.

For the taste, I way prefer this to just Stevia alone, which has that metallic Tab-like taste. (For those of you not born 60 years ago, Tab was a diet cola that was quite possibly the worst-tasting beverage ever made.)

I don't like it enough to always use it exclusively -- I use about 70% Splenda and 30% Whole Earth in my coffee, but use this exclusively in my oatmeal, and use Splenda exclusively in my tea. But when I was just using Stevia, its proportion of anything I ate or drank would be 10% at best. So I like the mix with the Monk Fruit.

Regarding the packaging, it came in an outer box properly labeled as 1.5 kg to the box, and the packets themselves were clearly labeled as 1.5 g. So if there was any issue with packaging, it was either corrected by the time my batch arrived, or I just got lucky and everything is okay as is.

This will be on my list of items I expect to have in my pantry forever. When this batch gets low, I'll reorder. If you like Whole Earth, you know it's not that easy to find, so this is a good solution to have on hand.

What to Consider for stevia

Here are the key considerations

Features You are Looking for

The product should have the features you are looking for. All the reputed marketplaces and online shops write product descriptions, read them, assess them according to your need. If you are not happy with what they wrote on there, ask them.

You know what? Ifs better to regrate before than after purchasing a product online. Returning products is a hassle.

While checking the product features, compare its pros and cons. Here in our list, we picked the {replaceKey} features from Amazon, to make a quick look. Hope that helps.

Users Feedback and Brand Recognition

Certainly, a product is available on the market for a while, the brand hit some sales and obviously, there is a customer base. If you make a few google searches and read some user feedback you will get a nice idea about that product and brand value and recognition.

The good thing is here we have compiled some good feedback from real users, I mean verified product owners.

There are a few tricks to understand a brand value and recognition like how loyal the customers are, how much visible the brand is? What is their customer support like?

Support and warranty

Sometimes the product you purchase needs customer support and that’s important. So it’s better to check their official website and support system. How faster their response is and how helpful they are.

So support depends on your product type and services. You should define the product and how consistent customer support you will be needing or not.

Product Price

Product price plays an important role in purchase decisions. Yes, some products provide real value for the money, but it does not mean high price product is always good. But you know money talks and a product with better price, chances are the product is good.

Conclusion

The customer reviews compiled above helped you to understand the pros and cons of the product. Customers review helps to take decision real quick. It saves your time and effort. So you got some idea on stevia, That is our happiness.
