I had reservations about buying this unit because of the venomous 1-star reviews. After using this unit for a few weeks I have to assume that there were either a large number of defective products sent out (quite unusual for Cuisinart), or that some people have unrealistic expectations of a toaster oven/air fryer.

Disclaimer: I've always had toaster ovens as a kitchen accessory and have had to learn each one of their quirks. This one has fewer than many I've owned. That said, it cooks fast. Very fast. Where with my previous one you had to bump the temp about 25 degrees more than you thought needed and could walk away from it, this one cooks in much less than the time expected and you need to watch it carefully. That should change as we learn how it performs. It seems best to fade back a bit from the recommended times and temps in their manual and recipe book. This thing is powerful.

My favorite dish so far is chicken wing drumettes. I've always cooked my famous buffalo wings in a peanut oil deep-fryer, then dip them in sauce and dry them for a bit in the oven. Set this at 400 on air-fry, cook for 10 minutes, flip them over and cook for 10 more and they honestly look like I just pulled them out of my fryer. My wife swears they are even better. Traitor!

Garlic toast and English muffins seem to crisp up faster and retain inside moistness better than any toaster oven I've ever used. Frozen french fries and shrimp are a breeze. Tonight she did some fresh zucchini wedges that I was sure were going to be boring and they turned out awesome.

Long story short, we love it so far and look forward to experimenting with it for years to come. We've had great luck with Cuisinart appliances over the years and in the few times we had problems with them, their customer service people have bent over backwards to help us and always treated us fairly.

Love it and if it blew up tomorrow, I'd buy it again.

UPDATE 10/4/19

We have been using this since Feb 2018. And we still love this unit. It is a staple in our kitchen. Wanted to make an additional note to add to those who burn things, this airfryer uses convection. You may notice on your packages instructions to drop the temp for convection... This isn't a suggestion. We typically drop the temp 25-50 degrees from normal oven temp. So if your fish sticks for example say cook at 425... Put them in at 375.

Original Review:
Seriously that's all the review needs to be... Just buy it.

Those reviews complaining about burning food are not following the instructions. Put the rack in the correct location, remove the lower tray if necessary. Use the proper temp settings. So.e stuff you may need to experiment with to dial in. We literally cook chicken nuggets for the kids at 400, airfry in like 6 minutes.

That leads me to the next thing. The first line is 10 minutes not the actual "10" if you put it on "10" you are actually doing 15 minutes and, well, probably why you burned your food.

This is hands down one of the best kitchen products I own, we have used it almost nightly since we got it.

I never leave reviews. I'm been a huge proponent of the convection toaster oven for a long time but just got my first air fryer. Game changer. Just had my first air fried meal, and it was unbelievably crispy and very quickly cooked. I'm 23/25th through a bottle of wine right now, but I can assure you, the crsipiness was in fact the jam everyone here says it is. It is smaller than the dimensions listed, which is a plus. Highly recommend the wine and the fryer! #godblessautocorrect

I am a chef and I run a teaching kitchen. I already had 2 full size gas ovens and 1 full-size electric oven.
I wanted to have a back-up so that students could socially distance but didn't want a lot of space taken up. I bought this oven in early December and have been putting it through its paces so that I know its weaknesses and strengths so there are no surprises during cooking classes.
After using it a few times daily for more than a month and tapping into all of its features, I highly recommend this sweet little oven. It is fast, efficient, easy to use, and big enough to cook a sizeable roast or chicken. I opted not to get the one with the rotisserie as I didn't want that kind of clean up. This one is a breeze to keep clean. I slid a piece of foil under the bottom elements and just pull and toss it when it is dirty. The door and window wipe clean easily. It is also a great oven if you are cooking for two as you are not heating a full sized oven for a small meal.
It gets a little hot in the back so I shouldn't be pushed flush to a wall or used under low cupboards.
The roasting pan that comes with it loses its non-stick finish a bit too easily and mine is now only 75% covered with the original coating....just remember that I am using it more often than most people. I have taken to covering it with foil as well. Problem solved.
I will continue to use and will edit this review if I run into any problems.

Geez! Where do I start? I absolutely LOVE this oven! I already own an air fryer that my kids and I are greatly attached to, so I was a little skeptical. But since using this oven, we have not even THOUGHT about using our air fryer, oven, stove OR toaster! This is so convenient!
You are able to download a VeSync app to control this device. This makes it sooooo easy to preset your oven. Although you can set the cooking preset, temperature and cooking time, you will need to manually press start. At first, this was a hassle, but I have a 9 year old who loves to "fix" her own food. Being able to set the temp and time for her was a plus. She was still able to place her food into the oven all by herself without risking that it would be too hot. Then, when she was ready, all she needed to do was press START. The app also has suggested recipes for your oven. We tried the Sweet Chili Shrimp and were thrilled that it came out looking just like the picture! And it was good too!! You are also able to customize recipes which my family and I absolutely LOVED doing. My favorite customized recipe was for my famous steak! You are able to save not only your cooking settings, but also your ingredients, step-by-step instructions and a picture! The app keeps up with your cooking time and you can also control the light in the oven.
It also has a voice control feature so that you can control it with you Alexa or Google devices! By far, my most favorite bonus feature. In the app, you can give your oven a nickname. My kids and I named our oven "BOB". So, when using our Alexa devices, we are able to control "BOB". Unlike using the app, when utilizing the Voice Command feature, you are able to turn the device on to start your cooking.
Included in the packaging are a wire rack, a food tray and a fry basket. If you are not sure which accessory to use, do not worry! The instruction manual let's you know the preferred accessory dependent upon your cooking task. There are 3 different levels inside of the oven; one on the top, one in the middle and the last at the bottom. On the outside window of the oven, it lets you know which level to cook your food on based on which setting you are using. SO HELPFUL!
Now on to the cooking! The food that we have made in here has been nothing short of amazing! In my household, we use the oven, stove, air fryer or pressure cooker. But since using the Oven, we have only used the Oven and pressure cooker. We were able to fry chicken with ease, make a pizza and even cook a steak! Steak is definitely my favorite and I am an expert on my cast iron skillet, BUT cooking the steak in this oven was 100x easier and the steak was packed full of flavor and juicier than I could have ever imagined! Each of these presets have worked like a charm. It has taken my family some trial and error to perfect each setting to our taste preferences, but AGAIN, that has been one of the perks of this oven and all of it's features. We have been able to customize the settings to our liking!
Our family is big on ordering pizza and wings, but now they love getting together and MAKING their own pizza, wings and we have even made parfait (something we would have NEVER thought about doing prior to having this oven).
Cleaning the oven is simple. We use Dawn Ultra Platinum Powerwash Dish Spray and it helps to keep the oven looking brand new after each use.
All in all, I HIGHLY recommend this product. It is user-friendly and even your children can operate it.

I replaced my basket style air fryer with this toaster oven/air fryer combo. So far I'm very happy.

Pros:
-Versatile for the counter space. It has 3 grooves, and comes with an air fry basket, baking rack, and baking sheet. You can slide the baking sheet right under the basket or rack to use as a crumb tray if you want. I've used it both as an air fryer and as a spare oven, and each time it's done the job quite well.
-There is an invisible crumb tray to slide out from the very bottom (under the door). However, I keep the baking sheet on the lowest groove so I've never needed it.
-Fits under my upper cabinet with several inches to spare. It says you need to pull it out from the cabinet to operate, but for me personally it's not been a problem. It does emit some heat, and my cabinet above gets warm but not hot to the touch.
- Doesn't take a lot of extra space around it. You wouldn't want to butt in right up to a wall, but I have about 2" around the sides and back, and again, there's some heat but not concerning for me. It doesn't require any special heat pad to protect the counter either.
-Door lays flat when you open it. This should be a no-brainer, but surprisingly some toaster oven/air fry combos don't do this.
-Much quieter than my basket style air-fryer. It's not silent, but neither the fan nor the beeps are obnoxious.
-You can turn the fan on or off.
-Many standard baking size pans fit. The inside is about 12x12. A lot of disposable foil pans fit, even the Costco 1/4 steamer pan.
-I've been able to double stack air frying by laying a metal cooling rack on top of the rack or baking sheet in the middle groove. It worked pretty well, but I do need to turn and move food around half way through.

Cons:
-It takes a while to figure out the controls. It's really not very intuitive, and even after you think you're done, there's an extra button to push.
-It won't hold a standard 13" cake pan. (12" really is the max). I'd like to buy an extra fry basket and baking sheet, but I've not yet found one.
-If the oven is full, it doesn't cook as evenly as a standard oven.
-I've read about people having problems with it running too hot and things burning, but my experience is that it runs a little lower than my standard oven. YMMV.
-No rotisserie.
-There is about a 5 minute preheat period (as opposed to a basket style air fryer that's instant).
-It does emit some heat, especially the front glass, so it's not necessarily effective as a way to avoid warming up the house from the oven. The front glass gets *very* hot, enough to burn anyone who touched it.

I've not yet tried the app, broiler, or making toast. I usually line the tray or basket with foil or parchment, so clean up hasn't been an issue. Overall, it fits my needs and I'd recommend it!

I bought this oven for a reason. Our old oven broke so we were left only with the stove top. Even simple dishes that were not hard to make, had to be left out of our attention, because they required an oven.
When this one arrived, it was like heavens went down on me. No joke. It was such a happiness when we were able to cook such things as roasted veggies, a cake, shrimp tempura, pizza and so on. Not even mentioning toasts with mozzarella.
The roasting is quite even and smooth colored. I noticed that it gets to the golden crust in the back of the oven faster than the glass front. However, it’s Ok, and doesn’t make a big difference.
Programs available are fell fit to my liking. All I had to do is some understanding which one brings me to the golden crust.
I purchased it with the same brand of the pressure cooker, so check out my review on that on too.

Since I live alone, using my built-in oven always felt wasteful, plus it took forever. I have a traditional basket-style air fryer, but I needed more room for meal prep. I researched counter ovens/fryers for months (quite literally), and I was so happy when Ninja announced this beauty.

First off, it's big. Yes, it's called XL, but it needs to be said. But it's not so large it doesn't fit on my counter under my cabinets with plenty of room to spare. It also comes with every accessory you could possibly need, and it's controls are so easy to use.

Most importantly, the performance of this oven is out of this world. So far I've baked an egg casserole, used the pizza function, used rheat, and air fried a steak and potatoes. Everything has come out perfectly - crispy, hot, crunchy, you name it. There is an initial learning curve since foods don't take as long to cook as in a traditional oven, but if you're familiar with air fryers already, that's not new. Plus, it's so quiet! I couldn't believe it.

If you're in the market for a counter oven and/or air fryer, you can't go wrong with this!

Wow, easy to read instructions, easy to use, easy to clean. I was able to get rid of my Breville & an air fryer. This Ninja does everything. So far I've done wings, tater tots, garlic bread, asparagus & pork chops. All came out delicious. You cannot go wrong buying this machine.

Well I read all the reviews, and like all reviews some were good, and some were bad. The bad reviews always get your attention. so I will address them first. One of the complaints was it was hard to clean. well it is a little difficult, but if you want to stay ahead of the cleaning curve, and have a nice looking appliance on your counter you better clean it.

The spit is hard to put in and out. Yes it is. you have to work it, there is not much room for error. not easy to put in or take out, someone said it should be reengineered.. They are correct. However: It is still doable.

It smoked up the house...well this is where the complaint falls on the person who purchased it. READ the manual! Simple read the directions. more than likely, they did not put the tray in the bottom shelf of the broiler, and did not catch the grease. It dripped on the coils. I brined the chicken, lined the bottom pan with foil ( solved a cleanup problem), pushed one button and in a hour the chicken was cooked to perfection. And there was no smoke! just a nice smell of chicken cooked on a rotisserie.

Cannot say anything about the glass, but I have my suspicions, (the way the door drops down, convenient to use as a shelf) Common sense says do not! Wait till the glass cools before you clean it.

I will have a follow up, I plan to cook a pork loin on the rotisserie, as well as a leg of lamb. Yes a leg of lamb. will trim to fit. Pictures will follow.

The only complaint I have, is that it is made in China, I was hoping it was made it Europe. but that is for another day and time.

So if you have any questions go on line and you can read the product manuals on line before you buy. Works for me.

I have no interest in COSORI, do not own stock; if they are a public company, do not know anyone there, this is a totally honest review....Who knows next week, next year something could change, but Ill keep you up to date....

used my own brine recipe for the chicken, and did not set temp. the one button did it all..

This is a follow up....cut part of the leg bone off (see picture) so it would fit in the Rotisserie Made a brine with lemon, olive oil, garlic, and rosemary, and fennel seeds. Had to put the appliance on the stove so the exhaust fan would remove the smoke. The oil does that. It was raining otherwise I would of cooked it on the deck. Put potatoes in the bottom of the pan half way through cooking and it was just great. Yes the rotisserie does smoke (because of the olive oil). One of the complaints. I have no smoke with the chicken. This oven is great, The leg of lamb was 4.8 lbs. and took about 1 hr and 15 min.at 400 *. No complaints so far. I also cooked a pork tenderloin on the rotisserie.

You know there is not many products that produces great food cooked to perfection with just the push of a button. Remember always put tin foil on the bottom of the pan, makes cleanup a snap.

EW

I am thrilled by my new air fryer toaster oven. It is not too big but has so many presettings. It can totally take place of the toaster and traditional oven. For the holiday season at the end of the year, this can be of such good help in making chicken as a whole chicken can fit. My friend has sent me an air fryer as a gift. These two can both help us lead a healthy life.

Original Review: Like all the features and flexibility, BUT...
After the factory breakin- fryer basket level and even. After 1st use for 10 minutes at 375 aiy frying brussel sprouts - underside of basket looks like someone tried to throw a basket ball through it - SPRUNG upwards bad.
Update 11.4.2019:
Contacted Customer Support - what pleasant folks to deal with - new air fry mesh pan on the way. Have a new problem - when the heating elements are heating up to 400 degrees (mostly what I am air frying at) it's quiet as a mouse with a slight whisper of the convection fan moving air. BUT, when it has "heated" and begins to cool down there is a loud thunk, thunk, thunk, - somehow some metal or combination of metals in the heating elements and/or the interior oven walls are cooling and making loud noises. As soon as the heating cycle starts again it is quiet as a mouse again.

Update 11.18.2019:
Wow Customer Service wanted to investigate the old unit, so they replaced it instead of just sending the basket - said their engineers want to see the problem. New replacement is great - no basket issues, no sounds - quite as a whisper/fan can be. Failed the mention the recipes and guides are well written, good details on the unit, and couldn't find any "English as a second language" problems you are used to seeing on things made in China. Just wished there were MORE recipes than they supplied. (I don't facebook or tweet so unless those blogs/info/hints/tips are on the web site I have nothing more than what is written/supplied with the unit).

I think this is a great value for all the functions you get, since there is nothing with all these features in this under $200 price range - BUT there are a couple of things I hope the address in a future upgrade.

1. Unless I am just not doing it right, the rotisserie is difficult to put in - tolerances are to close and not enough angle to easily put in -- and almost impossible to get out with their oversized coat hanger/handle - again you have to turn at an angle and be able to slide it out of the motor side and the tolerances are so close when you hit the right side of the over it falls off the hanger/handle. The indentation where the rods goes into the clip (or the clip) needs to allow you to move the rotisserie to the right to clear the motor spindle on the left and then be able to raise it up and out. Not a showstopper just use heavy duty BBQ rubber gloves and take in out by hand where I can control all the bumping and grinding it takes to get the rotisserie out. Hope the engineers get this done in version 2.
2. The inside door hinge on the left and right side are not sealed/covered so that garlic, parmesan. grease drips into it and is almost impossible to get out. Another 1 1/2 inches of extending the inside stainless strip on each side would have solved that problem. Can we say not a showstopper but would be nice to engineer that in version 2. Even though they tell you to NOT put anything on the door when it is down - my solution is to take a 9 x 13 aluminum bake pan and place it on the door and then pull the tray out using the pan to catch everything that drips - then grab both the pan and the tray together and transport both to the counter. Clean door, no drips, clean floor, clean counter - works for me.
3. Again not a showstopper, moisture/grease accumulates on the door and drips down and then out on the counter because of the design of the bottom lip of the unit. I think that design should be changed so that it drips inside the oven instead of outside the oven. My solution is to take a piece of aluminum foil and place it under the entire length of the door to catch the drips. If they don't make any changes to the bottom of the unit, then there really needs to be an outside drip tray that can be put underneath (kind of like the old George Forman Grills).
4. There is an inconvenience factor in cleaning the grease, water from in-between the bottom lip of the unit and the bottom of the door-- takes time to fold a paper towel and slide it back and forth to absorb the accumulated drops (until the towel comes out clean). Again not a showstopper but hopefully would be corrected in a version 2.

None of the above grumblings would stop me from purchasing the unit again, because I like it that much. I would have given the unit 4 stars - but the outstanding customer support and willingness to do whatever is right for the customer - not matter what - demands a 5 star review.

My workplace has a similar oven and I desperately needed one of my own. I’ve only made quesadillas and toasted sandwiches, so I haven’t fully tapped the possibilities, but I am very pleased so far. Sandwiches are toasted very quickly ... and I assemble the sandwiches with bread right out of the freezer, since thawed bread tends to burn before the cheese can melt. Quesadillas turn out with evenly melted cheese and the tortillas are toasted and nice.

This is a great toaster oven but not really an Air Fryer. I have used a different brand toaster oven for many years and this is as good or better than that but as an Air Fryer, not so much. I'm happy with it because of the low price and it does what I need instead of the big oven for summer. I returned an expensive Air Fryer because it took forever to cool down and blew hot air into the kitchen in the process. It Bakes well and I like the Turbo setting over the Air Fry setting. If you want a true air fryer, this will not fit the bill. But as great toaster oven, works for me! Love the size ~

This little toaster oven was purchased to use in our RV. After one camping trip and using it twice, we're pleased with it. It is far larger than a two slice toaster, so it robbed a little more valuable storage space than I wanted, but we get multiple options for use over a standard toaster. The air fry function confuses me a little as it doesn't appear to have any sort of fan...the key part of an air fryer, but it worked great on tater tots the one time we used it. The propane Furrion oven in our RV takes an hour to do a terrible job simply reheating frozen potatoes...this little guy is now our replacement for the oven. Wishing our RV didn't even come with an oven now.

Breville Smart Oven Air

This week I’ve been testing the new Breville Smart Oven Air. It has exceeded my expectations in every way and so far I absolutely love it. Not only does this oven look great on the counter, it doesn’t take up too much space, and the versatility of this oven is amazing. And the new industrial design is timeless and will fit in with any style.

A true oven, I think people who bought the slightly smaller Smart Oven Pro like I did, found that it can actually replace their large oven for cooking a lot of items. This is really a true oven that can cook anything that your main oven can, even a 14lb turkey, but with more efficiency. The interior of this oven is huge, measuring 16 inches wide by 12 inches deep, and 7 inches high, giving you more room for tall loafs of bread or cooking roasts without grazing the top elements. There’s one extra element on top, making 6 quartz elements in total. The 8 rack positions offer a range of heights for cooking a variety of different sized foods, and will easily fit a large dutch oven.

The range of functions on this model makes it much more versatile than the Smart Oven Pro, now with 13 different modes. In addition to the 10 modes found on the Pro, the Air adds nifty features such as a proofing mode, giving you a proper way to rise dough for perfect baking results. They’ve also added a dehydration feature, letting you dehydrate a variety of foods such as fruit snacks or beef jerky, and lets you dehydrate up to four trays at a time. The new Super Convection mode boosts the fan speed enabling crisper results and faster cooking speed than ever before, and I’ve had nothing but good results so far.

Most interesting is the Air Frying mode. Not only does this eliminate the need for a separate appliance, this is a great way to cook frozen snack foods like fries and onion rings, evenly browning and crisping perfectly.

Baking in this oven is precise and yields consistent results. Cookies came out evenly browned all around. I roasted a chicken that came out amazing, using the new phase cook feature. Phase Cook allows you to set two back-to-back cooking functions, so you can for example quickly crisp and brown the outside of a roast and automatically switch to a lower, slower cooking method for the remainder of the time. This is one of my favourite features, and makes it possible to achieve incredible results with little effort. Also new, is a Rotate reminder, that alerts you half way through to turn the pan around for the best most even results. I really found that helpful, especially for times when I’m using two racks at once.

With all the baking and roasting this oven does, it’s easy to forget that it also functions as a 9 slice toaster! This oven puts heat exactly where it’s needed, providing the most even toasting I’ve seen. Bagels were browned on top while the bottoms remained soft and lightly toasted. And if you just finished toasting a bagel or making toast and the oven is still hot, the it’s smart enough to adjust the cooking time if you want to make more, so your toast is always the same colour whether you start with a cold or hot oven. A bagel took about 6 minutes with a cold oven, and when I wanted to toast another it took just over 3 minutes. This oven does take slightly longer to toast than the smart oven pro, but only about a minute longer.

Some of the negative reviews for the Smart Oven Pro were regarding the control panel failing… so they’ve added a cooling fan inside the Air’s control panel to keep the sensitive electronics safe from overheating and prolonging the life of the oven, and they’ve upped the warranty to two years instead of one. Although the fan is annoying, if it helps keep the oven working longer, I can live with it.

In our house, this oven gets used several times per day and it never let us down. But I could go on forever about this oven, so I’ll just list the things I liked and disliked the most.

Things I liked most about this oven:

-Light comes on when you open the door
-Timer pauses when door is opened
-Beeping sound level is adjustable and can be silenced completely
-Seal on door wraps all around to keep more heat in, increasing efficiency
-Oven Door stays open 1 to 4 inches without the need to prop it open
-the thick, high-quality racks
-Broiling feature works better than the Pro
-Auto-eject for the toast and air fry levels
-New magnetic rack-puller design
-New fan design moves more air
-Big, bright display is easy to read and interpret
-2 racks instead of one
-fits a 11lb roast turkey comfortably and gives amazing results
-Bakes two pies at once or two sheets of cookies, and reminds you to rotate half way
-Heats to within 10 degrees of set temperature
-Proofing feature is a huge convenience
-Phase Cook for combining two cooking cycles into one

Dislikes

-Convection Fan is incredibly loud especially in super mode
-Front panel fan is loud and comes on any time the oven is activated, even in toast mode where the fan isn't really necessary.
-I wish oven light would stay on until I turn it off
-Takes longer to reach temperature, 20 minutes to reach 400F
-No recipe book - I wish there was a book of recipes designed for this specific oven that take advantage of the Phase Cook feature , dehydration and other features
-Rack edges rub on the glass in the 3rd or 4th rack position when opening and closing the door
-Oven Size may be a bit large for smaller tasks

Who’s it for?

I think this oven is for serious cooking, a bit overkill for a college student for example. It is really a real oven that can be used as a toaster oven. If you think you will need a second oven at times, this is a great option. Actually, this oven would make the ultimate wedding gift for newlyweds.

Recommended?

Yes! Although slightly on the pricey side, if you’re looking for a countertop oven that can replace your range and can double as a toaster, the versatility, the convenience and features of this model will exceed your expectations as it did mine. With all the performance and capability of a large range oven, you’ll absolutely love the top-of-the-line smart oven Air.

I am a professional chef and this product delivers! First and foremost it is a top of the line toaster oven the size of a small oven. You can fit a 1/2 pan, mid sized turkey is about its limit. It has no hot spots because of its 6 computer controlled heating elements and a turbo fan to seal the deal. It fits a standard frozen pizza or a Large Pap Murphy's Pizza. Incredibly simple to use and accurate at low or high temperatures. Yes you can dehydrate to make MSG free beef jerky, yes you can caramelize meats with precision with broiling, yes you can even proof bread! The darn thing preheats in 2-4 mins!
Not only does it do all this... it is a top of the line air fryer! It comes with 2 air fry pans, one for things that are low in fats and a second pan used for high in fat products like chicken wings. My personal suggestion, spray a small amount of oil on low fat items to get an authentic fried food texture and flavor. With out it things get hard... instead of deliciously crispy.
In short I don't use my home oven unless its a bigger project. (family get together's) Re-heating food from work has never been simpler! I refuse to use microwaves! Enjoy a high end product!

The only warning I have is if you have kids or irresponsible roommates... (same thing haha!) The oven gets hot. Keep things off it and around it. There are 2 air vents and the oven needs its space for proper air flow. To me, it comes with the territory.

Tex

Wow, glad I bought mine (4) weeks ago before the price increased by $80. But even at the current price, it is one heck of a small, 2nd oven for our kitchen. I've cooked a 4lb whole chicken in it, a fresh (home-made) pizza, pies at Thanksgiving, canned cinnamon rolls, used the broiler to crisp left-overs and more. I wanted to wait until I'd really used this thing before posting a review since there is so much that can be done with this smart-oven.

The oven has excelled at everything that I've given it with exception to toasting bread and bagels. Toasting bread/bagels takes 2-3 times as long as a conventional counter-top toaster and the results are not better with the Breville. It tends to cook darker toward the rear half of the oven for toast/bagels and other things that are being cooked that way. Also, toast tends to stick to the cooking rack which is messier to clean-up afterwards vs a regular toaster. So, I still use our standard-old toaster for toast/bagels and let the Breville do other things that are more useful.

My wife and I have found that the Breville is our go-to oven for most things. It pre-heats faster than our large floor oven and it does not heat-up the entire kitchen. I've found the controls to be both intuitive and useful. I especially like the temperature control selections for broiling which our large oven does not offer. I can choose "low broiling" on our Breville while our floor oven has one choice "max heat". The "low broil" temp is way better at putting a crisp on left-over french fries without burning them.

The Breville does get hot on the sides and top, so pay attention to the required clearances and little-fingers from kids. We also bought the Breville cutting board for this oven and that thing has been great. It sits as a heat barrier on the top and provides a usable spot to place hot items removed from the oven. Also pay attention to using the "convection" only for foods that need it. Not all foods benefit from convection heat and I'm happy that the Breville gives me the option to deselect it.

One thing that I wish they had done differently is the oven light. It automatically turns off after 30-seconds and I wish it had the ability to be turned off when "I want it off". I find myself having to keep pressing that small button for the light repeatedly for some cooks as they near being done.

To start, among our extended family, we have purchased 3 of the 19 quart air fryers (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08B681351/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) . We have been pleased with them and literally use ours at least 2 times a day. With this newer model, 3 giant advantages over the 19 quart (white) model:
1. The stainless steel looks amazing, and the design of this model is more modern. Even though the internal space of this air fryer is much larger, the outside dimensions are not much larger, it still fits well on a counter (see photos with soda can for size reference)
2. The larger size easily fits a full Aldi rising crust pizza (as you can see in the pictures), and, because the oven is larger, the top and bottom of baked items brown more evenly than smaller air fryers/toaster ovens
3. We haven't used the rotisserie yet, but the larger capacity is exciting. We have been cooking game hens in our smaller air fryer because of the weight limit. With this model, we can step up to small chickens (which are also easier to find).
Tips for great cooking and troubleshooting:
1. This air fryer's preheat is unique compared to all other air fryers we've owned (yes, we've owned other, including Instant's Vortex). With this air fryer, you start, it preheats, then when it beeps, you put your food in and press start again to actually begin the cooking cycle. All the others I've had just go straight to cooking after the preheat. This model ensures that you're not half way through the cycle when you remember to put your food in
2. Keeping in mind the preheat mentioned above, this air fryer fan doesn't start until after preheating and you push start again to start the air fry process
3. For baking, I drop 50 degrees off the recommended temp, but bake the recommended time (as you can see from the perfectly baked pizza, box recommended 400 for 22-26 minutes, I baked 350 for 23).

I can't say enough good things about customer support. We received an air fryer in which the fan did not operate. The support team had us send a video of the issue, they helped us troubleshoot, but after 2 emails, they sent us a return label, shipped us a replacement and had us drop off the return at a Walgreen's right down the road (as some Walgreen's stores now have FedEx drop offs, even for big items).

In closing, I recommend this air fryer. I still love our 19 quart, but if you have a family larger than 3, you will benefit from the extra capacity of the 32 quart, this model certainly looks nicer.

KATE

This is an exceptional air fryer. I had the 10 quart version. It’s great for one person. When I heard they had the new 32 quart size I was ecstatic. This is perfect for four people. Large capacity in the size of a medium microwave. You can really fit a rotisserie chicken!! Love it. Have so many recipes I want to try. If you have a family you need to get this. I am telling my family and friends about this. Not something I would normally do! Happy baking and cooking everyone!

Cliff

We love this Oven/Toaster/Air Fryer/Rotisserie/Dehydrator...! We had a similar product from Black & Decker we were using before having the opportunity to try the Crownful Over. It was ok but the Crownful oven blows it away. It has a very large capacity. My two sons have big appetites and with the other oven, sometimes we would have to cook two separate batches of food but with the Crownful oven there is enough space that we only have to cook one batch. We use the Air Fry function quite a bit and it is nice that the Crownful Oven has a one click button that puts it into Air Fry mode. The Crownful Air Fry function cooks faster and more evenly than the Black & Decker one did. I like the digital display. It makes setting the oven mode, temp and time very easy and it is nice that it has a built in clock as well. I know it is a little thing but it is great that the Crownful oven has a light in it. It really helps to see the food cooking. If anyone is looking for a multi-function toaster oven (I almost hate to call it that as it does so much more), you cannot go wrong with this one.

I love this oven air fryer. I can cook my whole meal at the same time. I've baked muffins and a cake in it and they came out great. The only thing I would change is that it gets so hot on the outside.

It take longer to cook food then it should.

Okay so my hubby bought this for me at Walmart and after reading reviews on the rotisserie part, I wanted to post my experience. First off ignore the rotisserie instructions that are provided. They're pretty useless in my experience. I first inserted the rotisserie scewer and then tied the legs and wings up so they didn't fall and hit the heating element at the bottom of the oven. Then I lathered the chicken in olive oil and sprinkled it with spices. I used garlic and onion powder, salt, pepper, parsley, paprika and turmeric. It had amazing flavor.
So the instructions that come with the oven say to cook a 4.5lb - 5lb chicken for 45-90min at 350° and it was still raw in the center. By the time it was cooked through it was dry. So the second time I used the rotisserie, I ignored their provided instructions and decided I'd use my instincts. I cranked the heat up to 400° for 30 minutes and then dropped the temp down to 350° for another 30 minutes. This gave it a crispy outside and extremely moist chicken. Hope this helps others who had the same issue using their rotisserie.

I was a little hesitant from some of the reviews saying the rack/pans were “flimsy” and that it doesn’t cook over 350 degrees. Then I got it and realized, with all do respect, those people aren’t very smart.
First of all, the racks and pan provided are very durable. They likely weren’t inserting them straight and it was pulling down to a different groove causing it to tilt. Insert them in the right grooves and they’re perfect.
Secondly, “roasting” is cooking foods at 400 degrees or higher. “Baking” is typically below that. They’re the same thing besides the temp. So yes, it heats up to I believe 450 on “roast”. You roast potatoes, veggies, etc on this. You bake cookies, brownies etc on “bake”.
I haven’t used my oven, air fryer, or toaster since I got it. I cook whole meals for my family of 3. I swear this toast waaaayyy better than my toaster did. I’m obsessed! Also, it looks great on the counter, and it’s SO EASY to clean. Compared to my air fryer… wow. Cleaning that thing was a pain. This is a breeze. I don’t have a dishwasher so I welcome the ease of this. Buy it. Read the directions (ha!) and you will love it.

Remember when air fryers became the thing and gas was less than $3.00 a gallon? That’s when we bought the same $70-100 egg-shaped, 6 quart air fryer everyone else was buying. That cheap one (from Amazon!) worked great. So I thought if the cheapest one available works so well, I can focus on aesthetics. I’ll be honest I bought this one for two reasons only. 1.) it’s a 26.5 quart and I wanted one big enough for four slices of pizza and 2.) it’s the prettiest one I could find. I bought the black/gold model cause it’s almost as pretty as Angelina Jolie, and I think it looks like a stereo. Anyway. This is actually super easy to use and it works very well. It works so well you’ll forget you made a mistake voting for Biden. It has many features fit if you wanna just turn it on and cook, it’s fast and easy, and easy to change the time on the fly also. I cook four pieces of family size pizza (that’s an 18” pizza) at once easily since it has multiple trays. Are you a first time air fryer buyer? You haven’t lived until you’ve had Totino’s pizza rolls in an air fryer. Seriously ask anyone who owns one. Easily cooks a Totino’s pizza too. Reheats anything fried very well and does an exceptional job cooking wings. All your other dad-bod friends will be jealous your air fryer is prettier than their wife.

I own a small toaster oven I have used to cook small items for many years. It still works, but the labeling for the settings and temperature knobs are faded. The timer also maxes at 30 minutes—time to upgrade.

After reviewing several brands, I chose the Val Cucine air fryer for these reasons: (1) its size: this air fryer is large enough for cooking big ticket items like ribs, pizza, pot roast and whole chicken, but the unit design doesn’t have a huge footprint; (2) it's functionality: this fryer has a variety of settings making it a more versatile option for cooking; (3) its appearance: the black matte with bronze knobs are a nice look in my kitchen; and frankly, the bronze knobs are just groovy; (4) operational cost: it is far less expensive to operate than my oven/range; (5) the height of the unit: I can use a small double broiler in this fryer or add a second wire rack to cook more than one item at a time. This is impossible with my current toaster oven.

The digital controls are nice. They are well lit and easy to read—no more worn off temperature controls. The wattage of the light inside the fryer is impressive. It’s very bright and you can leave it on during the entire cooking process.

The glass door on the fryer allows for great visibility while cooking—no need to open the unit to view your food. My old toaster oven isn’t tall enough to see anything unless you open the door and there’s no light.

I like the functionality of the fryer. Its uses are endless. Recently, I used the air fryer for frozen hash brown patties. I was shocked at how well the air fryer cooked the hash browns. They came out brown and crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. They cooked in seven minutes which is an excellent tradeoff to stovetop cooking in oil. Moreover, there’s no oily pan to clean or cooking oil to dispose; this is definite plus for me.

Last week, I used the reheat feature to heat leftover cheeseburger macaroni and it came out tasting fresh; unlike the taste I’ve had after zapping it in the microwave.

Two nights ago, I cooked a chicken pot pie but accidentally scorched it a little on top. The directions on the box said “bake for 60-65 minutes.” I went the full 65—oops. The air fryer cooks so thoroughly, even 60 minutes was probably unnecessary. The wattage of this oven greatly reduces cooking time.

Additional attributes:

Some fryers require special equipment for cooking but not Val Cucine. I am using my traditional baking dishes and ceramic cooking bowls which is economical.

The Val Cucine is energy efficient using far less electricity than a standard 220 oven and food cooks rapidly.

The unit cleans up nicely with warm water and mild dish soap.

It’s an attractive fryer that goes well with my other appliances.

Temperature settings:

The temperature controls caught me by surprise. The temperature taps out at 360◦ for the Bake setting and 450◦ for the Roast setting. At first I freaked when I had to bake thin pork chops at 400◦, but I used the Roast setting and they turned out perfectly in eight minutes. I used the A1 setting for the hash browns and they turned out great.

In order to achieve the 400◦ temp for the pot pie, I had to use the roast feature; however, next time I will use the bake setting at 360◦ at 60 minutes to see if the pot pie accurately temps. I’m thinking because this air fryer is so efficient and uses heating elements on the top and bottom of the unit, standard cooking times may not always apply for some food items. I know this is true for convection cooking. Like any appliance, you have to get to know your machine to learn what works best for your personal cooking style.

The heating elements:

There are four elements at the ceiling of the unit and two on the bottom. I decided against broiling steaks in the fryer one night because two of the four elements on the ceiling of the fryer didn’t engage. I was concerned the steaks wouldn’t cook properly.

I contacted the seller and asked if I had a malfunctioning unit but it turns out the two elements in the middle only activate when the air fryer option is in use. [Update] the two heating elements in the middle of the four did indeed kick on using the air fry feature for the hash browns.

Wondering if this would affect the way a slice of bread is toasted, I popped a slice of bread into the unit. I set it to max and dialed the toasting darkness all the way up. I observed the piece of bread gradually toasting to a warm shade of brown. Maybe air moves the heat inside the oven allowing it to brown effectively? I’m not sure, but I was like, “Oh wow. It toasts.”

This unit has essentially replaced my oven. I have made toast; baked biscuits; roasted chicken; and roasted pork in this air fryer. The cooking process is efficient and less messy than other cooking methods and food tastes fresh after reheating. The air fryer looks great in my kitchen and I’m especially fond of the bronze function controls. I’m looking forward to using the dehydrator and convection feature in the future. I am super pleased with this appliance and I hope it provides me with many years of service.

My first air fryer was a small Gourmia. It was fine, but it didn't have much capacity. Worse yet, the pan had vents in it that kept it from holding soapy water during cleaning. So I bought a second Gourmia that had more capacity and a pan that would hold soapy water for cleaning.

I've been using my air fryers for scallops, lobster tail, sausage links, hamburger patties and anything previously barbecued. It's quick, easy to clean, and if it isn't quite as good a the barbecue, that's more than offset by the convenience. It's also great for re-heating a slice of pizza -- much better than a microwave or a toaster oven.

I came across the Instant Vortex Air Fryer at Best Buy while waiting for a new car radio to be installed. I wasn't dissatisfied with the Gourmia, but because I use an air fryer so often, I thought it would be worth buying even if it was only slightly better.

Simply put, I love this thing. As another review pointed out, it has two cooking trays that can be used on three levels, and it cooks a lot hotter/faster on the top level than on the bottom. The other reviewer was apparently disappointed, but I view this as a feature. Today I cooked sausage patties on the top level, and they came out very dark and well done but without being burned. They'd have cooked fine on the bottom level, but they wouldn't have been as dark and might have been dryer.

I've always air-fried scallops on a tray, and they've always come out brown on the top and bottom just as you'd get from a barbecue. But just for curiosity I air-fried a batch in the rotating basket (lightly sprayed with canola oi), and they came out golden brown all over as if they'd been deep fried. They didn't taste better, but they looked more elegant.

In summary, I like this Instant Vortex air fryer and see it as an improvement over the two Gourmia models. It's very easy to use and easy to clean, with features enough better to justify the higher price .

I have absolutely no idea why this product hasn’t been hyped more or why I’ve never heard anyone else talk about it. The support for it is nonexistent, however, the product itself has been an amazing buy for our kitchen. I have made personal pizzas in 10 mins in this (4-5 mins per pizza; thin crusts), a whole 5.04 lb rotisserie chicken that came out with deliciously crispy skin in 1 hr, and I make these air fried asparagus in about 14 mins. Every frozen snack you have ever tried before will be three times better made in the Instant Omni Pro. My family loves making gyoza and pizza rolls in it. Everything is crispy and fresh tasting instead of squishy like baking them in a regular oven or, worse yet, a microwave would do. The only thing I don’t recommend so far is a frozen burrito. Those should be soft, not crispy. I could keep going but honestly I had so many doubts and hemmed and hawed about buying this based on the ONE available review at the time. I’m SO happy I took the leap of faith because I have not been disappointed!!!! It’s worth the money!
